Candy Cane DSP ALMOST SOLD OUT

Because of unusually high demand for our Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper (available in the Holiday Mini, #120809), there is a possibility that we will deplete our inventory within the next week, and we will be unable to order more.

If you were interested in this adorable, glittery paper, please place your orders now before supplies are gone! Once the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper has sold out, we have other beautiful holiday alternatives you may want to consider: Jolly Holiday (#117159) and Deck the Halls (#120810).

Watercolor Crayons are Available NOW!!!

Great news! The Watercolor Wonder Crayons are now available for purchase. The new Watercolor Wonder Crayons were delayed due to a major relocation of our supplier. We now have inventory and you can start ordering today!

There is a New Color Kit (#120949, $39.95) you can order if you already have the old Watercolor Wonder Crayon sets. This kit includes new trays (4), inserts (4), and tins (4) as well as 17 new and previously unavailable color crayons: Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, River Rock, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, Melon Mambo, Basic Gray.

If ordering complete sets (rather than just the new Color Kit), some of the color sleeves may feature old artwork on them. This does not affect the quality of the crayons; we simply need to deplete inventory of crayons with the old artwork before we use crayons featuring the new artwork. Here is the ordering information for the new Watercolor Wonder Crayon sets:

  • Subtles (#119802, $16.95)
  • Regals (#119803, $16.95)
  • Brights (#119804, $16.95)
  • Neutrals (#119805, $16.95)

Thanks for your patience!

Getting Started with Rubber Stamping

Are you a new stamper? If you are like me, I was overwhelmed with choices when I first wanted to try my hand at stamping! The first Stampin' Up! workshop I attended, there were so many stamps and supplies to choose from that it took me forever to decide.

As always, I am here to help you so here is my list of beginning stamper's must haves:

  • Colored Card Stock - Stampin' Up! card stock is recognized in the paper crafting industry as being the best quality. The color goes through all layers of paper. We offer a Getting Started Collection of 2 sheets of each of the basic colors (120954) for only $6.95. This will give you an idea of which colors you like to use. Then you can reorder those colors in larger quantities.

  • Very Vanilla (101650, $8.50/40 sheets) or Whisper White (100730, $8.50/40 sheets) Card Stock - Choose either an ivory toned basic color or white on which to stamp your images.

  • Inks - Basic Black Classic Stamp Pad (101179, $5.95) for stamping images you will be coloring

  • Brights Collection Stampin' Write Markers (119702, $28.95) to color in images and for coloring directly onto the rubber stamp for stamping an image in a color other than black

  • Paper Cutter (104152, $24.95) While you can measure, draw a line and cut along the line with scissors to get a straight line, you will find this paper cutter to make the job much easier and more consistent! Generally the 8 1/2" x 11" card stock is cut in half to make a piece 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". This is then folded in half to make the base for your card.

  • Whisper White (107301, $6.50/40) or Very Vanilla (107300, $6.50/40) Medium Envelopes - After taking the time to hand make that special card, you will want to send it in one of our fine quality envelopes. Choose Whisper White or Very Vanilla depending on which basic white card stock you chose.

  • Stamp set of your choice

  • Adhesive of your choice

  • There are many embellishments you can choose to add like ribbon, glitter, self-adhesive pearls or crystals, and brads, but the above list gives you everything you need to start stamping.

Are you not quite sure you want to dive into stamping with both feet? Do you want to just test the waters? Then I suggest you purchase one of our single stamps shown on pages 18-20 of our 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog, the Whisper White card stock, your favorite color ink pad, the envelopes, and the adhesive of your choice. You can use a ruler and scissors you probably already have to cut your card stock.

If you are ready to give rubber stamping a hand, either email me with your order. I am always available to help you get started and answer any questions you might have. Don't hesitate to ask!

Sweet Thing Card

Good afternoon everyone,

I know that I have been MIA for the last week or so but I have been busy. Last week, I was busy making 25 notebooks for the teachers at Sacred Heart. Then I was in charge of the Mother-Daughter Breakfast at church!! Besides my busy schedule, my kids had softball and track!!!

Whew!!

Ok, now onto the card!! This is very simple!! I did not place a sentiment on it yet because some times I like to leave them blank and then place it on when I decide later!!

I have been busy today with stamping so now I have to upload all of my photos.

Thanks for checking in!!

Important Information on Retiring Colors......

With our recent Color Renovation announcement, Stampin' Up! has experienced a spike--much greater than anticipated--in demand for some of our retiring colors. A significant number of colors in both card stock and re-inkers have gone into backorder status and a few have even sold out completely.

Stampin' Up! anticipated increased demand on retiring colors based on historical sales information for previous color transitions, as well as current buying behaviors. Obviously, even with the most careful planning, the response to a transition of this nature can surprise everyone--and it has!

For re-inkers in retiring colors, as we run out, they will be placed on backorder status and those orders will be filled as quickly as we receive the product. We will continue to do this to the best of our ability through May, and then the re-inkers will be available while supplies last in June.

Card stock presents a bit larger problem, as the process of ordering and producing new paper from the paper mills is very involved, and SU! can't order significant quantities at this point in time without putting the production of the new colors in jeopardy (and we know you want those!). To help us be able to provide you with the card stock in the retiring colors for as long as possible, SU! will be substituting textured paper for some of the smooth colors--including card stock in 8 ½ x 11 as well as 12 x 12--where the smooth is no longer available. When colors are out of stock, we will be filling as many of those as possible with textured card stock. Because the demand for each color varies, we are unable to provide a list of what colors of card stock will be substituted with textured, or at what point that will happen. However, if you receive a package of card stock that is textured instead of smooth, there will be a sticker on the package indicating that change. There will be no change in item code or price for these substitutions. Four colors have already sold out of smooth 8 ½ x 11 and we have no idea how fast cardstock will now sell out.

Please keep in mind that an instance may arise where we are unable to fill orders on a specific product, and it will become unavailable before the end of May, but we hope those cases will be minimal. Our main goal is to serve you the best that we can. If you had any plans to order to order any of our retiring colors, I strongly suggest you do so as soon as possible or you may find you will be unable to get your favorites very soon.

If you are a fan of our full size Craft pads, remember that they will only be available in Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black beginning July 1 and they may also sell out quickly. You will be able to purchase uninked large Craft pads and re-inkers to make your own pads and they will be available in Stampin' Spots. However, you may want to purchase the full-size Craft pads before they are sold out (as well as the Craft Re-inkers for retiring colors). They are fabulous for scrapbooking as they last longer and won't hurt your photographs. Here is more information on our Craft Ink:

  • Pigment ink
  • Coordinate with exclusive card stock, pastels, and markers
  • Slightly raised foam pad
  • For use in scrapbooks as well as on wood, fabric (contact me for details), and other craft items
  • Opaque look on colored card stocks
  • Great for embossing

Please contact me if you have any questions or interested in placing an order!!

Flower Punch Birthday Card

Good afternoon everyone,

I am posting late today!! I have a lot on my plate! Track meets, softball games, planning a Mother-Daughter Breakfast for the church this Sunday, and then in charge of some events for the All Scout Mass (on the same day as the breakfast but 100 miles away).

I quickly made a card the other day for a birthday. I used the Extra Large Fancy Flower punch #118073, 1" Circle punch #109046, Crystal Iris - Chunky Sprinkles #111343, and Well Scripted stamp set #118601. I bought this stamp set for the clear blocks and I love it!!!! I do not have to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig #101049.

Hope all is well!!!

Remember that the Occasions Mini catalog needs April 3o!!!
